I am a woman who has been living with acute Ulcerative Colitis for more than 20 years.

I know I am a miracle survivor of the disease due to all of the obstacles
that I had experienced within the past 20 years. Since the year 2000 I
have been hospitalized numerous times and has had a number of 19 surgeries
performed on me including one of the most intensive surgery of all in
2005, which I had my colon removed. My decision to undergo
surgery to have my colon removed to release me from day to day pain
and blood loss illustrates my strength and determination to fight through
this disease.

I am very dedicated to have the world know that
Crohn’s and Colitis is not a disease that children and adults have to live
with by themselves. I volunteer at the local hospitals and
communicates with patients on a daily to assure them they are not alone on
this journey.

I am currently a Doctoral Student in Counseling Education at Sam Houston State University to continue on my journey of helping others.

When I was a young girl listening to Les Brown’s motivational speeches, I had no idea what his job was, but I knew I wanted to do what he did. Now, I motivate, inspire, and enlighten audiences. I’m changing the world with my words, my transparency, and by sharing what I have learned along my journey.

I am committed to having daily breakthroughs in my life, but it requires me to be open to Truth! It is no accident that the Divine Creator has guided you to this space. You have come with the mind to restore, renew, and transform the way you see yourself and life around you.
